Character History: ----Born as the second daughter to Aemon and Elaena Blackfyre, Visenya has always led a pampered life. Due to her family's extreme wealth from the trading of Valyrian relics, Visenya has never wanted for anything. She has always been dressed in the finest velvets and silks and worn jewels on her person though at times she'd sneak out to play with her brothers in the forest, earning her a scolding from her mother.
Her favorite lessons as a child were literature ones, especially when she got to hear the old tales of her heroic forefathers denied their throne because of how they were born. She minded her tutors well enough, often tricking them so that she could have extra treats or days off. Her elder sister, Rhaena would always scheme with her, the two of them keeping secrets together, even against their brothers.
When her younger siblings were born, Visenya was jealous of the fact that she had to share the attention, not only of her parents but of her older siblings as well. While they had always had their various cousins as companions as well, Visenya had always prefered her sister and brothers. However, as time went on, she accepted them and her role as a big sister.
When she reached the age of thirteen, her mother began to keep a tighter leash on her daughter, careful not to let her run about with the boys as she had been so fond of doing a younger girl.Instead, she was educated with her sisters and female cousins on how to be a proper Blackfyre wife, all the while knowing that she would likely grow up to marry one of her male cousins. The idea did not bother her as much as one might think, though it was her eldest brother that helped to ease her fears in this regard.
Indeed, it was Vaenor that taught her how to wield a dagger, so that she could better defend herself when she was out and about. For her fifteenth birthday, he gave her a Valyrian steel dagger that he had found in the ruins of Valyria during one of his adventures. It was then that she began to fall in love with her elder brother. While it bothered her at first, Visenya justified her feelings by the fact that their branch had been founded when Haegon Blackfyre's son Daemon married his sister Rhaena. However, as her brother cavorted about with other women, Visenya withdrew into herself as she fell more in love with him.
Now, Visenya lays in wait to find out who her father will have her marry. She hopes to approach him soon and ask that she be given to Vaenor as his wife though she does not expect it will work.
Character Personality: ----Adventurous. Since her younger years, Visenya has always loved to go on excursions and play with her male siblings and cousins, sneaking out in the woods to hunt with them or explore the ruins. It was often the bane of her mother's existence but Visenya was always willing to obey when she was seriously asked.
Intelligent. All her years, Visenya has been praised for her intelligence. She would always complete her lessons early and do her best to trick her tutors into not making her work. She would also use her brains to sneak out or to win a game of Cyvasse against her father. Her biggest strength remains in writing poetry and stories, coming up with clever plot twists and interesting characters that enthrall anyone that reads them.
Loyal. When it comes to her family, Visenya is loyal to a fault. While she might, at times, prefer to do other things, the dark haired girl will ultimately follow her father or mother's orders. She will also do anything she can to help her siblings, whether that means lying to cover for her sister or causing a distraction so one of her brothers can sneak out, Visenya will do anything.
Withdrawn. This is a trait that has surfaced as her love and attraction to her brother Vaenor flourished. Since she discovered that her feelings for Vaenor were more than just sisterly, she has closed herself off, at least emotionally, from her siblings, keeping to herself for fear she will reveal her secret. While it is known that the Targaryen kings of old wed brother to sister, Visenya is frightened that it will not be tolerated by her parents and that she will be outcast. The fact that Vaenor is known for being with other women only helps to strengthen her resolve to keep to herself.
