Desired Character: Tristan Rydralle.
Character Gender: Male.
Character House: N/A.
Character Alignment: The North.
Character's Goals:
Character History thus far: Tristan knows little to nothing about his family before his birth. His mother, Dylena Rydralle, had apparently arrived, alone and pregnant, at the small farming village of Lorian, in the heart of the Rills, six months before he was born. In those six months she built an entire farm just two hours outside of if the village, or at least that’s how the villagers always told it; his mother always avoided answering one way or another, but one thing was always sure, a heavily pregnant woman could not have done such a thing alone, and the farm hadn’t been there before. With time Tristan learned to accept he would not know, and drop it all together.
He never knew his father, yet his mother insisted he had died during their travels to Lorian, and that was why he was named rather than being a bastard of the north. Being fatherless was often the most difficult aspect of growing up, and was often a point of teasing from other children in the nearby village of Lorian, who would call him 'the Named Bastard', despite the fact his mother assured him she was married to his father, thus making him a true born and not a bastard.
He learned everything he knew about farming and hunting from his mother, and the rest he had to pick up by himself as he went along. It was long and often tough, always lonely, but it was his life, and it was the only life he knew. Nevertheless, as the years passed his skills grew, but it wasn’t hunting or farming that Tristan was interested in.
He had grown up listening to the bards, the old songs and stories of gallant knights of old and their heroic tales. Their honour bound quests and adventures, their morals and the justice the always sought to protect and uphold. It seemed to Tristan that the knights were all that was good and honest with in the world. All he ever wanted was to become a Knight like in the stories and songs, a Knight that would defend the helpless and uphold the laws of the land. He knew to be a knight a person had to be of noble birth, which he was not, but it didn’t stop him from wanting it, from training himself for it, from taking every step he knew how in an attempt to achieve it.
Eventually, upon reaching the age of twenty, Tristan joined the soldiers of House Bolton. What better way to hone his skills and take yet another step towards knighthood than to serve the house that owned and protected the land he had grown up on?
Character Personality: Tristan is a simple man, with simple tastes and simple pleasures, though this is not to say that he isn’t smart. Raised on a farm, tending to crops and livestock, he was brought up on a specific moral code, and always dreamed and aspired to be an honourable Knight some day. Tristan has an insatiable curiosity that is often ever satiated, and often has trouble keeping his emotions hidden or in check. Always quick to do what’s right, above all else, Tristan can appear narrow-minded at times, perhaps even somewhat naive, and though he may stumble and it sometimes gets him into troubled situations, his intentions are always admirable. Loyal to a fault, Tristan would gladly sacrifice everything for a true friend, or his family.

Character Appearance
Tristan is a man full grown, reaching a staggering height of 6’3", which his mother has always attributed to his father. Though slender, due to living on a poor families food supply, Tristan’s body is lean from many years of farm work and hunting, as well as some years training with the sword and his stint as a soldier. Typical of the North, his hair is dark black and just shy of shoulder length. His skin, though very pale and almost sickly in appearance, lends to the ever defining contrast between the icy blue of his eyes and the pitch black of his hair, granting him an mysterious yet somewhat unsettling appearance. Having come from simple beginnings, Tristan prefers darker colours that don’t draw too much attention to him, mainly blacks and greys. The travelling lifestyle doesn’t allow him the luxury of many possessions, and so he is limited to little over one complete outfit. A loosely fitted black cotton shirt is covered by a black, leather waistcoat. The rest of his usual attire is composed of leather trousers and leather boots, both also black, and a dark grey cloak and hood.
