Alignment: ----House Longstride; sworn to House Tully
Character Appearance ----
Character's Goals: ----To raise his house’s stature
Character History: ----Rickard was born as the son of Lord Edwynn Longstride. His mother wasn't of noble birth, and not from Westeros. His mother always took care of him, like most mothers do. She didn't want her son being trained to kill from a young age, but she also knew that it wasn't up to her to decide that. When he grew up, he learned the ways of the sword at a young age. The master at arms taught him as much as he could. Finally, when he was 12, he became Edmure Tully’s squire. He had to do simple but important tasks like saddling Edmure’s horse or caring for his weapons and armor. He felt like a servant, but finally, on his 18th, he was knighted. His father was proud of him, but it was something he expected his son to become.
When he was a knight, his father began to teach him as well. Only not about fighting. Rickard was taught how to position men, and how to keep the spirit high. He learned that, if an army suffers much casualties, they want to go home and lose the spirit to fight. While on the other hand, if an army kills much men and wins battles, they gain confidence in themselves and their comrades, and therefore fight harder. His father also made him learn the houses, their cities, their banners and their members. He didn't, and still doesn't understand why he had to know all those things. He just thought that it was more important to know the history of their house.
When the war started, Rickard was tasked with rallying the soldiers of his father, and then to lead them into battle with the Tully’s. He knew who they were, but didn't quite know anything about how they fight, or how large their army was. He just cared about killing as many enemies as he could. However, just after the fighting began, his father died, and he became the lord of Rivershield.
Character Personality: ---- Rickard is a calm man, and won't speak unless spoken to. Before making any decision, he compares to good and the bad things. So he isn't one for rash decisions. He enjoys sparring with the soldiers, and partially training them. This to ensure that his men are always ready to fight. He loves his mother and sister, and will give his life so that they would live another day. Rickard is also fixed on making his father proud of him. Though it's hard to make his father proud, as he has no brothers or cousins to best.

It was a nice day, not too warm, not too
cold. It didn't rain, and there was almost not a cloud in the sky. It
seemed like a perfect day for two armies to clash. As only son of a lord
that served the Tully's, he was chosen to lead his father's men. His
group was tasked with defending the centre of a small hill. He
positioned his men, so that the pikemen protected the swordsmen from the
cavalry, and the swordsmen protected the pikemen from the enemy
infantry. Both groups protected the archers, as they were the weakest.
The
enemy came closer, almost in firing range. The archers were readying
their bows, as the infantry was getting ready to stand their ground.
They had the clear advantage. Uphill, and with the sun in their back.
The man that chose this place for a stand was quite a genius. They would
cut trough the enemies like a hot knife tough butter.
”Archers!! ready!!”
”Take aim!”
”FIRE!!”
The
archers sent a salvo of arrows in the air, on their way to hit the
enemy. Rickard had a secret in his pocket though. Once the enemy infantry
got to his men, he would send the cavalry that is hidden in the woods,
to the enemy archers and flank them. He just had to blow a horn to
initiate their attack. Minutes seemed like hours, and the enemy finally
got close. Rickard's men prepared themselves. They would either live or
die today, their fate was in their own hands. The enemy archers were
exposed.
Rickard blew the horn. The horsemen stormed out of the
woods and smashed right trough the formation of archers. In seconds, all
their archers were annihilated, and the riders shifted their attention
to the back of the enemies that were fighting their friends further up
the hill. They ran up and killed the enemy from behind.
The
battle was won, and the horsemen were tasked with gathering the
stragglers. The others were allowed to sit down for a bit, and to eat
and drink something. They'd deserved it. Meanwhile, Rickard sent a raven
with the news to his father, and the commander of the army. Now, they'd
wait for an answer, and hoped that they wouldn't be attacked.
