Brynden Tully, the famed 'Blackfish of Riverrun, nods his head to you sternly as you enter the chamber. "Good, you're here." he gruffly states, not waiting for a response. "One of the bannermen of House Tully has made the call, and Riverrun will answer. You will answer." It was not a request, but rather an order. "A raven from Raventree Hall arrived just this morning with the seal of Lord Tytos Blackwood himself. His words are vague, but from what we can gather his only daughter, Bethany Blackwood, was courting Jorlan Lefford, heir of the Golden Tooth, before this war of the Five Kings started." he spat on the floor at the mention of a Westerland House. "It seems the boy had a terrible temper, which finally showed itself when the war began. "They should have asked me, I know all about that boy. He even lost the little finger on his left hand in a tavern brawl. They've called him 'Ninefingers' ever since, though not many dare say it to his face." Brynden shakes his head, catching himself drifting slightly off topic. "Anyway, the Blackwood's withdrew from the marriage proposal, urging their daughter to pursue suitors allied to the Riverlands, and that apparently didn't sit well with Jorlan."
The Blackfish absent-mindedly crumples up the parchment within his now clenched fist. "To cut the story short, Bethany was found dead in the orchards of the estate, having been brutally battered. No witnesses. The Blackwoods are blaming Jorlan and calling for blood. Rightly so if you ask me. Usually such a dispute between Houses would be dealt with by the crown, but seeing as there's this blasted war happening, and both Houses serve a different King, it means we get to serve our own kind of justice...and you're going to be the executioner." The Blackfish continued, after pausing for your sign of acceptance. "You're to travel to Raventree Hall and speak to Tytos, get as much information as you can on all of this. Then you're to track down Jorlan and take his head for his crime." he pauses to consider something briefly, before continuing. "You'll no doubt be travelling into the Westerlands, so be on your guard, but it might help you to know that he often drinks in a Tavern nearest to the Golden Tooth along the Kingsroad, 'The Lonely King' I think it's called. Once justice has been served head back to Riverrun." He pats you roughly on the shoulder, his strength surprising for his age. "Do this well and you won't be forgotten about. You have my word."

- Wait for and then deal with Jorlan ‘Ninefingers’ Lefford by whatever means necessary, or perhaps don't.
- Return to Riverrun to receive your payment.
