Right ladies and gentlemen, from this month onward we will be holding monthly activity checks at the start of each new month. This is a way of the staff making sure that all Canon characters are active and used regularly, so that the characters are not being wasted. However, Custom characters as well as Canons will be included in these activity checks, as to avoid any form of discrimination between members. Below I will explain the process a little better, and what each member involved is expected to do:
Unlike standard activity checks, where each member has to post stating that they are still around, these will work a little differently. At the start of every month I, or another member of staff, will put up a new post within this thread listing all of the members from the previous month who had not been very active or made very many, if any at all, In Character (IC) posts. A site-wide email will then be sent out to all members informing them that the Activity Check for that month has started. Those members listed in this thread then have ONE week from the date the post is posted to reply (in this thread) saying that they still intend to be a member of this site and give a reason for their absence.
Clause to the Activity Check rules 01: The only exception to this is if a member has previously informed a member of staff that they will be gone for any extended period of time, or they have posted their brief departure from the site in the Away Thread.
Clause to the Activity Check rules 02: If a member is involved in an activity check, posts to say they will be staying on the site, and then does not make a genuine effort in the following month, resulting in them being included in the next months activity check, they will instead be immediately removed.
Clause to the Activity Check rules 03: If a new member joins the site and has not made any attempt to make an In Character post, or been around on the site within 2 weeks, then they will lose their character. If they return at a later date then they are more than welcome to retake the character, if the character is still available.
